The Online Service Experience Pack in Windows 11 enhances the delivery of cloud-based experiences.

Based on your comments from Feedback Hub via Online Service Experience Packs, we expect to improve the Your Microsoft account settings page over time. These Online Service Experience Packs work similarly to Windows Feature Experience Packs in that they allow us to update Windows outside of major OS updates. The distinction between the two is that Windows Feature Experience Packs can improve various areas of Windows, whereas Online Service Experience Packs are focused on improving a single experience, such as the new Your Microsoft account settings page. According to Microsoft, this would display under Windows Update as "Online Service Experience Pack – Windows.Settings.Account" with a version number.

The following are some of the additional updates and enhancements:

Discovery of Designated Resolvers: Microsoft has implemented a feature called Discovery of Designated Resolvers, according to the company. This appears to be a feature that allows Windows to retrieve encrypted DNS configuration from a DNS resolver identified just by its IP address.

Changes to the Connect app: Due to a lack of uniformity, the firm has decided to rename the Connect app to "Wireless Display." Now, it's important to note that this app is an on-demand feature, which means you'll have to download and enable it. Go to Settings > Apps > Optional features > Add an optional feature to activate it.

Splitting Apps & Features: Microsoft says it will separate Apps & Features into two windows in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22489. As a result, there will be additional steps in the Settings menu to get to things that are important to you. "Installed Apps" and "Advanced app settings" are the names of the new pages.

Microsoft is offering another means to upgrade Windows 11 with Online Service Experience Packs.
